Seatbid Pre-launch Terms of Service
Effective October 31, 2026 · Version prelaunch-2026-10-31
1. Who operates Seatbid
Seatbid is operated by Michael Rofail, trading as Seatbid, based in New York, United States ("Seatbid," "we," "us"). Website: https://getseatbid.com. Contact: seatbid.support@gmail.com.
2. Scope and acceptance
These terms apply to browsing Seatbid, creating an account, applying to sell, submitting ticket details for review, joining the launch list and contacting support. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle information.
Seatbid presents these terms for explicit acceptance in My account before new applications, listings, launch-list signups and support-form submissions. We record the accepted version and time. If you do not agree, do not submit applications or listings or use account features governed by them.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement to create an account or submit an application or listing. If you act for a business, you must have authority to do so.
3. What is available during pre-launch
Seatbid is being developed as a marketplace for concerts, sports, theatre, comedy, festivals and other live events. During pre-launch, users can maintain accounts, submit seller applications and ticket details for content review, browse approved content, save launch interests and contact support.
Public purchases, binding bids, offers and seller payouts are closed. Prices and payout examples are informational and cannot be accepted as a live purchase through the pre-launch service. Planned features and launch dates may change.
Authorized internal tests may use synthetic events, tickets and payment-provider test funds. Test records do not provide admission to any event and must not be represented as real inventory or real customer payments.
Seatbid is not an event organizer, venue, performer or original ticket issuer. Event names and third-party brands do not imply an endorsement or affiliation.
4. Account responsibilities
Sign in using the supported ChatGPT sign-in flow. Seatbid does not ask for your ChatGPT password. Keep your sign-in account secure, provide accurate information and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.
Do not impersonate another person, use an account without authority or create accounts to evade a restriction. We may request reasonable information necessary to resolve an account or submission issue. Do not provide identity documents through an ordinary support form or email.
5. Seller applications and ticket submissions
An application or content-review decision does not authorize sales or verify ticket ownership, authenticity, transfer eligibility or admission. Stripe onboarding, where separately authorized for testing, is not proof that a particular ticket is genuine.
When submitting ticket information, you confirm that you own or are authorized to control the tickets and have a reasonable basis for the details you provide. Accurately describe the event, venue, scheduled time, quantity, section, row, seat numbers or general-admission status, whether seats are together, transfer limitations and material restrictions.
Do not submit speculative inventory, sell the same tickets twice, conceal an obstructed view or entry restriction, or imply that reviewed content is guaranteed authentic. Follow applicable laws and valid issuer and venue restrictions. Notify us promptly if information or availability changes.
We may reject or remove inaccurate, misleading or inappropriate content. You can withdraw eligible unsold submissions from My account. Contact support if an internal test reservation prevents withdrawal; it must not be treated as an ordinary public sale.
Never publish usable barcodes, government identity documents, passwords, complete payment details or another person's private information in a listing or support message.
6. Fees and future marketplace terms
The current pre-launch account, application and listing-submission features have no Seatbid platform charge. Synthetic payment tests do not charge real money.
Seatbid's proposed marketplace model is a 13% seller commission deducted from the ticket subtotal when seller proceeds are released, with no buyer platform fee. That model is a launch plan, not a live transaction offer under these terms.
Before public sales open, separate approved marketplace terms must disclose the actual fee schedule, payment and payout conditions, ticket-transfer deadlines, tax treatment, refund coverage and event-change procedures. Users will receive the relevant terms and acceptance process before making a binding transaction.
7. Content and acceptable use
You retain rights in content you lawfully submit. You grant Seatbid a non-exclusive license to host, reproduce, format, review and display it as reasonably needed to operate and support this service. Publicly displayed listing information may be visible to other visitors.
Do not submit unlawful, infringing, abusive or misleading material; misuse someone else's information; attempt fraud; obtain tickets through unlawful bot activity; scrape in violation of applicable restrictions; compromise accounts; bypass security; or overload or disrupt Seatbid.
We may restrict an account or submission where reasonably necessary to address abuse, security, legal requirements or a breach of these terms. Contact support if you believe a decision is mistaken.
8. Support, email and launch updates
You can send support requests through your account or seatbid.support@gmail.com. Replies may appear in your account or arrive by email. We may send operational messages relating to an application, submission, account or security issue. No fixed response time or event-day emergency coverage is promised during pre-launch.
Optional launch updates require the choice shown on the signup form. Cancel them in My account or contact support. Canceling launch updates does not stop necessary operational messages about a separate account issue.
The business Gmail connection sends Seatbid messages; customers are not asked to connect their Gmail inboxes. More information appears in the Privacy Policy.
9. Third-party services and availability
Seatbid uses third-party services for hosting, sign-in and business email, and Stripe for separately authorized payment testing and onboarding. Those providers have their own terms and privacy notices.
We will use reasonable care in operating Seatbid, but uninterrupted access and error-free third-party services cannot be guaranteed. We may change, pause or discontinue pre-launch features. Tell us if you find an error affecting your information or submissions.
These terms do not guarantee a future marketplace launch, a sale, acceptance as a seller, the accuracy of seller-submitted content or admission to an event. Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. No arbitration agreement, class-action waiver or fixed monetary liability cap is included.
10. Closure, privacy requests and changes
You can stop using Seatbid and request account closure through support. We handle information requests under the Privacy Policy, including any lawful retention exceptions. Closure is currently a manual process.
We will identify the effective date of an updated version of these terms and provide additional notice or obtain renewed acceptance when required. Changes will not retroactively remove accrued rights.
Contact support to seek help with a complaint. This does not restrict any right to contact a regulator or use a court or other lawful process. Applicable mandatory law continues to apply; these terms do not select an exclusive court or force a particular dispute procedure.
